The Ssangyong Rexton is also known as the Mahindra XUV700. The mid-size SUV has been in production since 2001. The meaning behind Rexton is "the ruler's tone" – taken from the Latin title 'rex' and the English word 'tone'. Although it encountered facelifts, it lived a very long first generation. Second generation models were launched in 2017.
