Latest Information on Peugeot 206
The 205 was in the process of being phased out and Peugeot’s sales figures were dropping rapidly so they produced and launched the 206 in 1998. The French 206 supermini featured an all-new front drive platform and quickly became a success having been the UK’s best car in its launch year up until 2001 and a best-seller in Europe between 2001 and 2003. By 2005 Peugeot had already manufactured five million units. A 206 rally car was also produced in 1999 that participated in the ’99 World Rally Championship. Production of the 206 was then ceased in 2010.
