Latest Information on Jinbei
Jinbei is a Chinese automotive brand owned by Brilliance Jinbei Automotive Co. Ltd and headquartered in Beijing, China. In Chinese, "Jinbei" means gold (jin) cup (bei). Based on the structure of the Toyota Hiace vans, the company produces and sells a variety of minibuses under the "Jinbei" and "Granse" brand. This is made possible through the company’s partnership with Toyota which was established in 1989, same year of its birth. They also produce light trucks and automobile spare parts. Apart from the reworked Toyota Hiace vans, they also produce Jinbei trucks (also known as JBC), SUVs, and pick-ups (known as BoonKoon). These are all produced by Shenyang Jinbei Vehicle Manufacturing Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Brilliance Auto. The company produces around 80,000 units per year and vehicles are exported to several countries. Through partnerships with several international manufacturing partnerships the company is already achieving European quality standards. This puts the level of quality of Chinese vehicles on par, or in some cases better, than some of the American, European, and Japanese cars. JinBei Haise dominates sales figures with a 60% market share in China and have put over one million units on the road globally. Models available in South Africa are also said to have very few teething problems as the vehicles have been produced by German and Japanese standards. Vehicles are said to offer value for money, as well as being affordable, reliable and well-supported.
