Did you know that China’s oldest vehicle manufacturer is FAW? It stands for First Automotive Works, founded in 1953. It’s not a name South Africans are all that familiar with, as they mainly manufacture commercial vehicles. The V2 is FAW’s budget passenger offering. So what does it offer? Recently a limited edition model was added to the lineup - the V2 #Like, and it’s pretty high spec for a car of its price. The V2 is not that bad looking actually - the front end has a Nissan Micra-esque kind of feeling. The V2 comes with plenty of safety spec such as driver and passenger airbags, ABS and EBD, side impact bars, and front and rear fog lamps. It’s powered by a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder engine.
