I do not understand the procedure of a holding deposit.

I am a 1st time car buyer. And as so many other buyers we do shop around for the best deals. If we are interested in 5 vehicles at 5 different car traders and having to put down a holding deposit of R2500.00 for each it comes to a steep amount.
