Performance on demand

For the new MAN Truck Generation, MAN offers the 10.5-litre MAN D26 and D20 engines for heavy-duty tasks. Each one is a high performer and brings efficiency and trusted MAN reliability. Power is rated from 328kW right up to 402kW which gives this truck the ability to handle a wide variety of transport needs. The engine features an improved common rail injection system as well as optimised thermal management. The performance update for the MAN D26 focused primarily on a reoriented combustion concept as well as reducing engine power loss. At the end of the day, what really counts is how much can be transported from A to B and the MAN TGS is able to handle your business needs reliably and efficiently.

It all starts when you open the door

Designers have reinvisioned the simple task of entering this truck by making it safer and more ergonomic.  The entrance is now positioned in the middle of the door area, the driver can get into the vehicle in an upright position without putting strain on their back. The access ladder is designed as a stairs so that drivers have all steps in view. On entering the vehicle, the new design ensures extra comfort, and it offers better safety on exiting. Thanks to entry lighting, the steps and surroundings are visible at any time of day and in any weather conditions as soon as the door is opened.

Improved comfort

The interior has been described as being the perfect fit. That is what the designers wanted drivers to feel when they got into the newly developed MAN Truck Generation. To achieve this, every detail had to be exactly right. Not only the work area and the assistance systems, but the rest and sleeping area as well, all adhering to a unique and ergonomic design.

Each of the above mentioned components offers added value that together make all the difference. Together, they create a truck that allows for optimised workflow and makes work easier. Be it the benefits of the user-friendly cockpit, the digital systems that are simple to understand or the comfortable sleeping area for long-haul transport.

More control

Designers have improved the usability of key control functions. For example, the completely new gear shift controls situated directly on the steering column stalk is a prime example of this. This new arrangement creates a great deal of free space.

Another feature which is an absolute first is the trailblazing MAN SmartSelect system, which was developed together with customers. SmartSelect makes using the multimedia system extremely easy, especially during demanding driving situations. Here, too, comfort was the inspiration for eliminating the touchscreen. Functions such as map, music, cameras and more can now be operated via MAN SmartSelect with comfortable hand rest.

Time to rest up

Everything has to come to rest at some point. For the sleeping area of the new MAN Truck Generation that’s exactly what you’ll find. In the extended cab models drivers can expect to find a cold-foam mattresses and a slatted frame which ensures comfort for well- deserved shut-eye and peaceful dreams. Personal items have their spot too in the many storage compartments. There is more than 1100 litres of space at the driver’s disposal. An independent air conditioning system and auxiliary water heater take care of providing for pleasant temperature.

Head turning looks

It’s not only the interior of the new MAN truck generation that has lots to offer. Just one look at the exterior says it all. The typical MAN design has been reworked for all the truck variants to make an even more striking impression. This can be seen in the front headlight area, for instance, with its cutting-edge LED technology. The exterior mirror casing has been streamlined. Fittings like these help lower air resistance and therefore consumption, in particular in long-haul transport. Thanks to the new design, vehicle soiling is reduced as well as fuel consumption.

This was well established in the 2022 Truck Test which saw the MAN out perform many in the fuel economy test.
