This year has seen a number of innovations within the tractor industry, but, as technology is improving, so too are the offerings within the entire agricultural sector. According to data from the American Equipment Manufacturers, tractors are getting more attention than last year. So what do some of the top tractor manufacturers have in store for buyers in 2020? Let’s find out.

CASE IH

Case IH announced the new AFS Connect Magnum series tractor at the American National Farm Machinery Show earlier this year. These new models will début in 2020 and feature a number of exterior updates, a total cab redesign, and improved precision technology. The new Magnum range of tractors will be powered by the company’s Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) precision technology. One of the highlights enables farm managers to view the tractor's operation remotely, and lets farmers connect remotely to get the information needed to resolve an issue. Remote monitoring and support not only provide countless opportunities to maximise in-field productivity, but also gives peace of mind that everything is running smoothly.

MASSEY FERGUSON

Massey Ferguson will be introducing two new models to its GC1700 Series of its subcompact tractor line. The MFGC1723E has 17 kW while the larger MFGC1725M offers 18 kW. Designed for mowing, loading, and backhoe work, these new tractors will be offered as a tractor only, a tractor with loader, or a tractor/loader/backhoe combination.

NEW HOLLAND

The New Holland Genesis T8 with PLM Intelligence was also introduced earlier this year. Highlights of this new tractor include a revamped cab that includes several customisable controls and more connected precision farming technology. New Holland says that, on top of the new cab and more user-friendly controls, the most innovative change in the T8 is the New Holland Precision Land Management (PLM) platform. Precision technology is best described as open, connected, smart, and supported. ISOBUS class III technology helps keep you completely connected through the MyPLM Connect and APIs to share and analyse data, and to enhance support functionality through the nearest local New Holland dealer.

JOHN DEERE

John Deere announced that they will be introducing two new models, designed specifically to meet the needs of livestock farmers and hay producers in 2020. The new John Deere 6230R and 6250R are designed to accelerate quickly with its new Infinitely Variable Transmission, keep the operator more comfortable, and work smarter with the standard factory-installed Generation 4 4200 CommandCenter.
