The New Holland T4060F is a highly specialised tractor tailored for demanding applications in vineyards, orchards, and other narrow-row crop environments. As part of the T4000F series, this model combines advanced engineering with compact versatility, offering operators a dependable and comfortable working experience in tight spaces.
Engine and Performance
At the heart of the T4060F lies a robust 4-cylinder, 3.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine. Producing approximately 80 kw, this engine offers ample power for demanding fieldwork while maintaining fuel efficiency. It meets stringent emission standards and is designed for consistent performance in low-speed, high-torque operations—ideal for spraying, mowing, and soil cultivation tasks.
The mechanical fuel injection system ensures reliability and ease of maintenance, while the 600-hour service intervals reduce downtime and operational costs.
Transmission and Drivetrain
The T4060F features a 16x16 Synchro Command transmission, providing smooth gear changes and versatile speed ranges to match a variety of implements and terrain conditions. An optional creeper gear expands the versatility further, allowing precise control at very low speeds—a valuable feature in crop-sensitive environments.
Operators can also benefit from an optional 4WD system, ensuring better traction and stability on uneven or slippery ground.
Dimensions and Manoeuvrability
One of the standout features of the T4060F is its narrow profile. With an overall width as low as 1.5 meters (about 59 inches), this tractor can easily navigate tight vineyard rows or orchard lanes. Its compact size is paired with a tight turning radius, enabling excellent manoeuvrability without sacrificing stability.
Despite its compact dimensions, the T4060F offers ample ground clearance, essential for minimising crop damage and maximising efficiency in delicate crops.
Operator Comfort and Controls
New Holland designed the T4060F with operator comfort in mind. The spacious flat-deck platform, ergonomic controls, and optional air-conditioned cab make long days in the field more manageable. The hydraulic power steering and intuitive instrument cluster ensure effortless operation, even for less experienced drivers.
For open-station models, a foldable ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure) provides safety while allowing the tractor to fit beneath low-hanging branches or trellises.
Hydraulic and PTO Capabilities
The T4060F offers a strong hydraulic system and a rear lift capacity of over 2,600 kg (5,700 lbs), making it suitable for a range of heavy-duty implements. Up to three rear hydraulic remotes allow operators to control multiple attachments simultaneously.
A 540/540e PTO (Power Take-Off) allows efficient operation of various equipment, including sprayers, mowers, and tillers. A front PTO and front hitch are also optional extras, enhancing the tractor’s versatility.
