Its recent achievement as the Tractor of the Year – Best of Specialised underscores its importance. It highlights the impact it is set to make in vineyards, orchards, and other high-value crop environments.

Bringing CVT Technology to Narrow Tractors

At the heart of the T4.120 F Auto Command is a technological milestone: the adoption of Auto Command continuously variable transmission (CVT) for the first time in a New Holland narrow tractor. This development provides operators with truly stepless speed control, enabling them to move seamlessly between tasks and maintain the exact right pace for highly specialised operations. Whether working in tight vineyard rows or performing delicate cultivation, the CVT provides smooth acceleration, precise speed management, and impressive efficiency. This feature alone places the T4.120 F at the forefront of innovation in its category.

Power and Precision in Every Application

Powering the machine is a 4-cylinder FPT F5 Stage V engine, capable of producing 90kW and 506 Nm of torque, which gives the tractor the strength needed for demanding tasks while maintaining the finesse required for delicate inter-row work—the engine pairs with the Auto Command transmission to deliver controlled, consistent performance across all operating conditions. The result is a tractor that can execute slow, meticulous movements during pruning or canopy work just as effectively as it can pull heavy implements for soil preparation.

Smart Connectivity through PLM Intelligence

A key element behind the T4.120 F’s award-winning status is its integration of PLM Intelligence, New Holland’s latest generation of connected technology. This system transforms the tractor into an intelligent, communicative machine capable of optimising uptime and simplifying fleet management. Remote diagnostics allow technicians to analyse performance or troubleshoot issues from anywhere, significantly reducing downtime. Over-the-air software updates ensure that the tractor always runs the latest features and improvements, eliminating the need for dealership visits.

Automation and Guidance for Higher Productivity

The tractor’s advanced automation suite further elevates its performance. IntelliSteer RTK+ guidance provides accuracy of up to 1.5 cm, an invaluable advantage in vineyards and orchards where space is limited, and crop damage must be avoided. Complementing this is IntelliTurn, which automatically handles headland manoeuvres, reducing operator fatigue and ensuring consistency throughout the workday.

Comfort, Safety, and Operator Experience

Despite its compact size, the T4.120 F Auto Command offers a high level of operator comfort and safety. The Intelligent Trailer Brake System enhances stability during transportation, particularly on slopes or when towing heavy loads. A reversible cooling fan helps maintain engine efficiency in dusty orchard conditions, reducing maintenance and improving reliability. For enhanced visibility, a three-camera system is available, providing operators with a clearer view of their surroundings, which is particularly useful in the confined spaces typical of vineyard work. Each of these features contributes to a more comfortable and controlled working environment.

An Award-Winning Advancement in Specialised Farming

The T4.120 F Auto Command’s combination of compact design, advanced technology, and operator-focused innovation made it a standout choice for the Tractor of the Year – Best of Specialized award. The judging panel highlighted its seamless integration of premium systems previously seen only in larger tractors, recognising it as a defining step forward for vineyard and orchard machinery.
