5 Things that you need to know about the John Deere 6R Tractor
John Deere has recently introduced their latest 6R tractor which slots in just below the popular 7R and 8R offering. The new 6R has been designed and engineered to offer that tried and tested John Deere reliability and efficiency. The newcomer also brings with it a host of new features. Here are five things that you need to know about the John Deere 6R.
1. Usable power
When it comes to the John Deere 6R, engineers focused on enhancing the usable power while maintaining the tractors reliability. Advanced engine management systems keep the needed power at a constant level, however when it detects that more is needed, a 10% power bulge kicks in regardless of conditions. The system also allows for a hydraulic boost, giving you constant performance during applications with high-demanding hydraulic driven implements.
The 6R has been fitted with the robust John Deere FT PowerTech 4-cylinder engine which delivers between 82 kW and 186 Nm. In order to improve engine cooling, the 6R features a unique reversible fan which reduces fuel as well as power consumption. It is also maintenance free.
2. Improved comfort
Engineers have redesigned the cab so that key instruments and controls are in a more ergonomic setting. Common displays like fuel levels and speed are now on the corner post displays, giving you better visibility and a cleaner cab environment. The windscreen wiper has also been enlarged to provide clearer vision.
Other luxuries include the standard swiveling, air suspension seats with an optional hydraulic cab suspension. Bluetooth connectivity is provided for hands-free access for the operator's device. Further enhancements include improved ergonomics which include the fully reconfigurable electronic loader control, now with tractor reverser capability.
3. Loader technology
Another unique feature offered on the 6R is its advanced dynamic weighing feature. Operators can now mix feed and weigh round bales easier, thanks to the dynamic weighing function. There’s no need to purchase a feeder wagon scale when you can weigh on-the-go without stopping. The Level Horizon feature can compensate for changes in terrain which reduces the risk of spilling while on the move.
4. Revised suspension
The 6R has been given revised suspension so that operators can enjoy a smooth ride thanks to Triple Link Suspension. The levels of comfort have been further enhanced thanks to optional cab suspension working in unison to deliver the best ride and drive experience.
5. Latest technology
