Opel South Africa will be launching the Opel Combo commercial van in May next year along with the Opel Commercial division.
Opel will launch Combo locally
The Opel Combo 1.6TD Panel Van will reach South African shores in May 2019.
Named the '2019 Van of the Year' at the IAA Show recently, the worker features 15-inch steel wheels, short wheel base (SWB), has a standard payload of 600 kg, halogen headlamps, left sliding door without window, partition wall without window, manual air-conditioner, standard radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, four loudspeakers, driver and front passenger air bags, theft deterrent body security content and optional towbar.
The Opel Combo will be available on Pre-Order from January 2019 and Opel South Africa has committed to introducing customised service solutions, ensuring businesses are not without their vehicle during business hours.
The Opel Vivaro also joins the Opel Commercial line-up in November 2019.
Thanks to a new approach taken for its development, the new generation Combo offers a wealth of innovative technologies and assistance systems in both the passenger car (not for SA – yet) and the commercial vehicle versions.
Opposed to the normal procedure, it was developed according to passenger car standards from the start – and not as a commercial vehicle to which features were added retrospectively to also appeal to families.
