There is often a perception among small and medium businesses (SMB) telematics is a fleet solution only for large companies or that it is too expensive to justify.
Ctrack will be out to change this by showcasing its new SMB product, Ctrack Drive, that has been designed specifically for fleets with 30 or less vehicles. Ctrack Drive is an affordable, feature-rich Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.
“This mobile solution is perfectly-suited to companies whose vehicles are not their core business and who do not employ dedicated fleet managers,” says Hein Jordt, Managing Director of Ctrack.
Ctrack, will exhibit a full range of its wares at the 2018 Festival of Motoring (FOM) and Ctrack’s FOM stand will also be home to a futuristic Sasol Solar Challenge (SSC) vehicle during South Africa’s largest three-day, OEM-supported motoring event.
The solar-powered car on the Ctrack stand is similar to the cars that will compete in the 2018 SSC, a biennial competition in which teams from across the world design and build solar-powered vehicles and then drive them across South Africa.
The 2018 SSC, which takes place from September 22, 2018, is a live testing laboratory for new technologies. It will once again showcase highly innovative vehicles that are built with hand-woven solar panels, sophisticated weather monitoring systems and 3D-printed parts.
As a proud SSC partner, Ctrack is providing telematic units to monitor the progress of both the local and international competitors during the 2018 SSC. Involvement in the competition is a perfect match for Ctrack due to the global connection and the leading-edge use of several automotive technologies.
Ctrack R&D Director, Jaco le Roux, says. “Ctrack has a proud heritage by leading technology developments, software capabilities as well as integration with third party systems to provide leading edge services to fleet managers and trucking fleets in security, operational and efficiency planning. This track record is vindicated by the SSC’s request to partner with these pioneering participants of the Solar Challenge.”
