You should treat the sale of your car exactly the same way you would your house - and that means making it as attractive as possible.

A DIY valet can easily add up to thousands of Rands to your used car, if you do it right, and use the right products.

Buff out scratches, remove stains, clean the upholstery or buy seat covers, clean the mats, really get into all the nooks and crannies with a toothbrush. Never wash your car with harsh chemicals such as dish soap, and stay very far away from all other household cleaning products, which will use a nasty residue and make your car look even worse! Get rid of smells by keeping an open bag of kitty litter or charcoal in your car.
