Scratch and sniff

There is nothing that can ruin your day more than discovering a scratch on your car's paintwork. The truth is that life happens, and your car will pick up nicks and abrasions over time no matter how careful you are.

Any number of daily activities can result in a scratch to your car, loading school bags, parking lot trolleys, pedestrians and even plain old maliciousness. There is a way to make these occurrences fade into the background and that is to buy a car with a colour that hides these scrapes and scuffs, but what colour does that best?

After polling a number of paint-less dent removal businesses and auto body repairers, the unanimous answer was.... White! Due to its brightness and its property of refracting light, White hides blemishes the best. Our respondents also noted that any light colour will do, light silvers, beige's and browns do well to hide marks, but there is a caveat, metallics and pearls will make the repair costly as they are difficult to match up easily.

The flip side to this is that dark colours such as deep blue, dark grey, metallic blues and even reds will highlight dings and dents with black being the worst colour to try and hide anything in.
