Our top 5 picks for accessories that will completely change your VW Polo and make it stand out from the rest.

Compared to many popular makes and models, the Volkswagen Polo has a very long list of useful accessories you could get. There’s no doubt you’ll find something that would suit your fancy without breaking the bank.

Most of what you’ll find are aftermarket accessories. Here’s a list of just 5 accessories we think would come in handy:

1. Wheels

When it comes to cosmetics, a change in wheels can make a world of difference to how your Polo looks. It's usually also the first thing many owners do once getting a new car, be it a VW, a BMW, or a Honda. VW offers a range of 7 different alloys for the new 2018 Polo, however, there are if you visit any wheels and tyre store.

Currently standard on the new Polo Trendline is a 14-inch steel wheel with wheel covers. The Polo Comfortline gets 15-inch alloy wheels with Salou wheel trims (15-inch Sassari alloy wheels are a no-cost option) while the Polo Highline is fitted with 16-inch ‘Las Minas' alloy wheels as standard. The Polo Beats sports 16-inch ‘Torsby' alloy wheels and lastly, the R-Line is fitted with 17-inch Bonneville alloy wheels.

2. Pedals

Many Polo owners like changing their foot pedals. It adds to the sportiness. The variety is far and wide from brushed silver to alluminium to stainless steel pedal covers. You can shop for this online or in-store at any car accessories store. The handy thing is that you don't need a specific Polo set as any universal set can be easily fitted to your Polo pedals.

3. Lights

If you really want your car to stand out from the rest then you can opt for a completely different headlights and taillights unit. Options can include LED lights or Bi-Xenon Projectors as such in different designs. These can also be bought online or in-store at any car accessories store.

4. Rubber mats

Of course, your Polo will come with beautiful lush fabric mats but if your Polo is usually filled with people or things then you will soon realise that a well-fitted rubber mat will last longer and is easy to clean than the fabric ones. Even better is a cargo liner - a cargo liner is a rubber mat for the boot floor. Not only do the rubber mats provide carpet protection, but it's also non-slip and will keep things from sliding around.

5. Performance Parts

For added performance, there is also plenty of options that range from exhaust to suspension systems, air intake systems, performance chips, steering, performance cooling to engine components and more!
