Top security options for your new car

Car security is big business and there are a multitude of security options available for your new car.

The first option is a product called Data Dot which is now very often fitted straight off the assembly line and consists of thousands of tiny microscopic dots applied all over the car which have a serial number on them, allowing for identification should it come up missing.

Another option is a GPS tracker. Many insurance companies now require your vehicle to be fitted with the GPS transponder so that the tracking company is able to locate it at any time.

Another option not mentioned in the video is tinted security film on the windows. This prevents smashed windows and doubles up as a UV protection for your interior.

The last option is a given and that is a traditional alarm immobilizer with transponder keys. It is the first line of defence against car theft and is a must for any new car.
