Opel Corsa Sport – Dashboard Warning Lights

Every car has some icons illuminate when you switch the ignition on. These soon go off after a few seconds. If any of the warning lights remain on when the rest go out, that means your system has detected some problem/s.
Here’s what the warning icons on the Opel Corsa Sport represent:
1. Engine Light – the car will need to go in to a workshop to be properly checked/fixed
2. Engine Oil Light- if the engine oil light stays on whilst driving it means the car’s engine oil level is low and lubricant in the engine is interrupted. Check oil levels or take it to the workshop. To ignore this light and continue driving may result in engine damage.
3. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) deactivated
4. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) active/faults – this warning light will flash if the car is losing grip and the system activates. If the light stays on, then it indicates that the ESP system has a fault.
5. Battery Warning Light – indicates battery voltage is low, or the battery is not charging.
6. Tyre Pressure Warning – this indicates a deflating tyre or a fault with the tyre deflation or tyre monitoring system.
7. ABS Warning Light – if the warning light remains on whilst driving it means the Anti-Lock Braking System has some problem.
8. Airbag and Seat Belt Tensioners Warning Light – refers to a problem with the airbag system or seat belts. System needs to be checked as soon as possible, as airbag or belt tensioners may fail to activate in an accident.
9. Indicates the exterior lights are on
10. Immobiliser system fault warning
11. Brake and Clutch Warning Light – stays lit when the hand brake is applied. If the brake light stays on while the hand brake has been released, it means brake and clutch fluid levels are low.
12. Low fuel warning light
