Here is a simple ‘How to’ guide to add windshield washer fluid to your MINI reservoir when it runs low.
Step one: Open the driver’s door. Look approximately 6 inches (15.24 cm) up from the floor for a lever with a “2x” symbol on it. Pull the lever two times until you hear the bonnet latch pop open.
Step two: Walk to the front of the car and lift the bonnet up. The bonnet will stay up for you.

Step three: Locate the blue cap with the picture of the windshield on it and open it.
Step four: Read the directions on the bottle of windshield washer fluid to see if it is already diluted and ready to be used or if it is a concentrate and needs to be mixed with water. Once this is determined, pour the mixture into the reservoir where the cap has been lifted. Pour the mixture until you can see it, about 3 inches below the top of the tube.
Step five: Close the cap. Gently place the bonnet down making sure it is securely shut.
