It is not always possible to stop at a garage to give your windscreen a good scrub. That is why all cars have an onboard washer system to deliver a soapy cleanse for your car windshield.

The system does need to be refilled regularly and on some cars it may not be as straightforward as you would think due to the manufacturer not making the reservoir filling point overly obvious.

In the case of the 5 series BMW it is cleverly hidden in plain sight. Let's get it topped up!

 

 

You will need:

  • Windscreen washer fluid

 

Fill 'er up!

 

1. Open the bonnet

 

2. Locate the washer reservoir filling neck

 

3. Fill with washer fluid

 

4. Test the system
