How to replace the car battery on a Suzuki Swift

Steps on how to replace a Suzuki Swift battery yourself.
What do you need?
- Replacement battery
- Socket set
- Safety glasses (for your protection)
- Latex/rubber gloves (for your protection)
Replacing the Battery
Step 1: Open the bonnet and locate the battery.
Step 2: Using a 10mm wrench, loosen the fastener for the negative terminal
Step 3: Remove the negative terminal battery cable from the battery
Step 4: Using a 10mm wrench, loosen the fastener for the positive terminal
Step 5: Remove the positive terminal battery cable from the battery
NB: Never touch the terminals directly.
Step 6: Using a socket wrench, typically 13mm, with an extension, loosen the nut at the bottom of the battery holder
Step 7: Remove the small plate with the bolt
Step 8: Grip the battery from the sides or from the bottom and lift to remove the old battery from the vehicle.
Step 9: Place the new/replacement battery in the exact same position as the one you have removed
Step 10: Replace the small plate with the bolt and tighten
Step 11: Reconnect the positive terminal battery cable to the battery
Step 12: Tighten the fastener for the positive terminal
Step 13: Reconnect the negative terminal battery cable to the battery
Step 14: Tighten the fastener for the negative terminal and you're all done!
