How to replace the car battery on a Jeep Grand Cherokee

Steps on how to replace a Jeep Grand Cherokee battery yourself.
Where is the battery in a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
With most vehicles, you would normally just pop the bonnet, connect your cables and jump-start your dead battery. However, with the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the battery will be found under the front passenger seat, similar to the original Jeep that was introduced during World War II.
What do you need?
Safety glasses and gloves (for your protection)
Socket wrench 10mm and 13mm
Replacing the Battery
Step 1: Move the front passenger seat all the way forward
Step 2: Remove the carpet floor panel that covers the battery
Step 3: Using a 10mm wrench, loosen the fastener for the negative battery cable
Step 4: Remove the negative battery cable from the negative battery terminal
Step 5: Remove the vent tube from the side of the battery
Step 6: Using a 13mm wrench, Remove the two fasteners that hold the battery hold-on plate
Step 7: Using a 10mm wrench, loosen the fastener for the positive battery cable
Step 8: Remove the positive battery cable from the positive battery terminal
Step 9: Remove the old battery from the vehicle
Step 10: Install the replacement battery
Step 11: Reinstall the positive battery cable onto the positive battery terminal
Step 12: Tighten the fastener
Step 13: Reinstall the battery hold-on plate
Step 14: Tighten the fastener
Step 15: Reinstall the vent tube into the side of the battery and ensure the tube is not damaged or cracked in any way
Step 16: Reinstall the negative battery cable onto the negative battery terminal
Step 17: Tighten the fastener
Step 18: Reinstall the carpet floor panel that covers the battery
Step 19: Slide the passenger back and you're done!
