The Audi Q2 has been on the market locally for a little under two years, with the average battery life being about the same, your Q2 may be in need of a new battery.
Low Voltage
The Audi Q2 is rather technologically advanced for its size. It is very susceptible to low voltage errors and if your battery isn't in tip-top shape you may begin experiencing low voltage issues such as slow cranking, warning lights and failure to start.
Never fear though as we can we can show you how to fix these issues with a quick and simple battery change.
You will need:
- New replacement battery for your model
- Socket wrench set and wrench set (10mm - 14mm)
Let's get started!
- Begin by opening the bonnet
- Locate the battery, it should be just above the air filter housing in a composite material box.
- Remove the lid of the box to expose the battery terminals.
- Remove the negative terminal using the appropriate size wrench.
- Remove the positive terminal using the appropriate size wrench.
- Use the socket wrench and the correct size socket to remove the hold-down bolt and clam at the base of the battery.
- Remove old battery
- Install the new battery.
- Install clamps and cables in reverse order.
- Start the car to make sure everything is working correctly, replace the composite box and cover.
