MINI HID
The Mini Countryman has come a long way since it's introduction to the world back in 2010. The exterior styling has changed up as well as the interior fitment, along with those changes the MINI received many a lighting upgrade as well.

Later model MINI's are fitted with HID (High Intensity Discharge) bulbs so this will be a much more expensive exercise than the earlier models fitted with standard halogen bulbs but is accomplished in much the same manner.
You won't need any tools, just the dexterity of your hands and a soft coth to clean up.
You will need:
- Replacement bulbs
- Soft cloth
Let's get it done
1. Open the bonnet
2. Locate the back of the headlight cluster in the engine bay.
3. Find the small black covers that protect the back of the bulbs.
4. Remove the covers by pulling on the small tabs.
5. Remove the bulb from the housing.
6. Remove the connector plug from the bulb.
7. Replace bulb and reconnect plug
8. Insert the new bulb into the housing.
9. Install cover in reverse order of above.
Do not touch the glass of the bulb, as this leaves an oily residue that burns onto the glass.
