How to replace a lightbulb on a Mazda CX-3

Steps on how to replace a lightbulb on a Mazda CX-3 yourself.
It's usually best to replace bulbs on both sides of the car to avoid uneven lighting.
NB: Never touch a bulb with your bare hands as the oil on your fingers can create hotspots and cause the bulb to burn out prematurely. That's why it's best to wear gloves when performing this task.
What do you need?
- Replacement headlight bulbs
- Socket set
- Safety glasses (for your protection)
- Latex/rubber gloves (for your protection)
Removing the bulb
Step 1: Locate the hood release lever in your car and pull it to open your bonnet
Step 2: Release the safety catch and raise the bonnet
Step 3: Locate the bulb you intend to replace
Step 4: Move the windshield washer fluid reservoir out of the way for better access
Step 5: To gain access to the bulbs on the opposite side of the vehicle, simply reach behind the bulb housing
Step 6: Move the bulb assembly by twisting it counter-clockwise
Step 7: Push the tab and pull the connector to release the bulb
Connect the new bulb
Step 8: Push the connector straight in to connect the new bulb
Step 9: Insert the bulb assembly into the lens by twisting it clockwise to lock it
Step 10: Put the reservoir back in its original position
Step 11: Ensure the reservoir is tight and secure and you're all done!
