Newer style LED headlights do have a longer lifespan than cheaper Halogen units but many cars just like Kia Picanto still make use of these style bulbs. You can expect your halogen bulbs to last at least a few years but you will eventually need to replace them as they burn out. Space is at a premium in the Kia Picanto's engine bay so you will need to remove the headlight clusters to access to the bulb socket. Never fear though, we have you covered with a step by step guide.
It is a relatively easy task to perform and you can do it right in your driveway in a few minutes without many tools needed.

You will need:
- New bulbs for your year model
- 10mm socket or spanner
- Soft cloth
Let's get it done!
1. Open the bonnet.
2. Remove the two hold down bolts on top of the headlight cluster.
3. Pull up slightly to remove the headlight from the body.
4. Remove the rubber cap.
5. Remove the electrical plug.
6. Remove the hold down clip.
7. Remove the old bulb.
8. Install the new bulb.
9. Replace everything in reverse order.
10. Test that the bulbs are working correctly.
PRO TIP: DO NOT touch the glass area on the new bulbs as oils on your skin can contaminate the glass. If you do touch the glass make sure to wipe it down with a soft cloth before fully installing the globe.
If you are replacing one globe you may as well replace the other as side as well as the lifespans of the bulbs are more or less the same.
