A1 lights the way
The Audi A1 has come a long way since it was first introduced in late 2010. With the latest model sporting LED headlights the older models had to make do with the standard H7, H4 or Xenon types. The older H style bulbs had a lifespan and in time will need to be replaced.

This isn't a massive problem as replacing the headlight bulb is quick, you can do them right at home, and we can show you how with this easy step-by-step tutorial.
You will need:
- New headlight bulbs (correct wattage and amperage for your model)
- T20 and T30 Torx bits & driver
Let's get it done!
1. Open the bonnet
2. Using the Torx bit and driver, remove the screws that hold the headlight assembly in place.
3. Unclip the connecter plug from the assembly.
4. Carefully remove the assembly.
5. Locate the cover on the back of the assembly and remove the retaining clips.
6. Remove the connecter plug from the back of the bulb.
7. Remove the bulb.
8. Install new bulb. replace connector, cover and clips.
9. Reinstall assembly and test the unit.
