Waxing and polishing your car is a good way to keep your cars paintwork in tip top condition. Unfortunately, no matter how hard you try you are going to end up with wax residue on your plastic trim. Today we show you how to clean it up with little to no fuss.

It’s a rather simple to remove using a few household items, you will need an old toothbrush, a microfiber cloth and a normal pencil eraser. Try to avoid the pink, grey or blue ones and stick to a normal white rubber pencil eraser.

Start by lightly scrubbing the excess wax from between the trim and paint work and then wipe down with the microfiber cloth.

Next grab you pencil eraser and begin rubbing on the wax marks. The eraser will lift the wax out of the plastic and return it to its normal state.

After this you can treat the trim piece with normal car trim cleaner and it will look as good as new!
