Keeping it clear

It goes without saying that you need to have a clean windscreen to see where you are going. The average lifespan of a set of windscreen wipers is about 18 months, less if you live in a dusty environment. This is why it is important to change your wiper blades every year before the rainy season starts.

This is a simple bit of DIY maintenance that you can do in a few minutes with no tool s required.

You will need:

  • Replacement wiper blade
  • Soft cloth

Let's get it done

1. Lift the wiper arm up into its service position.

2. Push the clip and pull the blade downwards, releasing the old wiper blade.

3. Slide the new wiper blade back up into the wiper arm until it clicks into place.

4. Give the base of the windshield a wipe down with the soft cloth to remove any dirt and debris.

5. Test the system with water or the onboard washer system.
