How to change wiper blades on a Ford Ecosport

Many EcoSports are getting on in years and most should be due for a windscreen wiper replacement, we show you how to tackle this relatively simple task with ease.
Master the blades
The Ford EcoSport has become a firm favourite amongst SA car owners. Many of these EcoSports are getting on in years and most should be due for a windscreen wiper replacement
You can save yourself a trip to the local garage and tackle the replacement yourself and we will show you how to do it in a few quick steps.
You will need:
- New wiper blades for your year model
- Soft cloth
Let's get started!
- Lift the wiper arm and place the soft cloth against the windscreen beneath the raised wiper arm
- Rotate the wiper blade until it is in a T-shaped position.
- Gently push the retaining clip until the wiper blade unclips from the wiper arm.
- Install the new wiper blade
- Pull the new wiper blade retaining clip backwards until it clips back into position
- Wipe any dirt away from the bottom of the windscreen with the soft cloth.
- Repeat on opposite side
- Test wipers with a small amount of water
PRO TIP: Do not use the wiper blades dry as this reduces their lifespan
