How to change wiper blades on a FAW Sirius S80

The 7-seater FAW Sirius S80 first became available locally during 2013. We list each step on how to change the wiper blades on a FAW Sirius S80.

Car Ownership

The FAW Sirius S80 uses wipers like any other vehicle, to clear excess water from the windscreen and improve visibility. Although wiper blades are made from a rubber compound, the constant battering from the sun and other elements will cause it to crack and perish over time. The average lifespan on a wiper blade is around two years and it is highly recommended that you replace them every 18-months just in case.

Replacing wiper blades is quite easy and you can do it at home. All you will need is:

- Replacement blades of the correct type and size

- Soft cloth

Steps

1. Go over to the driver side of the vehicle and lift the wiper arm into its service position.

2.  At the base of the wiper blade, find and depress the small clip on the wiper blade holder and pull downwards.

3. Before you install the new blade, use the soft cloth to wipe the windscreen and clear it of any debris.

4. Now take the new wiper blade and align the plastic clip. Once aligned push until it clicks into place.

5. Repeat on the passenger side and then test the system with water.
