You have a Jeep Wrangler, that automatically makes you an adventurous type! Changing headlight bulbs on your Wrangler should be a piece of cake compared to climbing a steep mountain trail.

Replacing the headlight bulbs on your Wrangler does require a few speciality tools and some daring do but changing them yourself will be just as rewarding as fording a river.

You will need:

  • Replacement bulbs
  • Panel clip removal tool
  • Small flat head screwdriver
  • Torx bits and driver

Let's get started!

  1. Using the small flat head screwdriver, remove the six black panel clips that hold the grille surround in place.
  2. Using the panel removal tool pull the panel clip surrounds out of the grille
  3. Gently pull the grille surround forward to expose the headlights
  4. Using the appropriate Torx bit remove the four screws holding in the light assembly
  5. Unplug the wiring harness from the assembly
  6. Gently twist the bulb holder to remove from the light housing.
  7. Replace the bulb making sure the rubber o-ring gasket isn't damaged.
  8. Reassemble in reverse order.

It may seem daunting at first but this a cinch to do once you know how and should be no problem for an adventurous spirit such as yourself.
