Save yourself the cost and trip to a battery service centre and replace your Nissan Micra's battery in the comfort of your own home.

Power Up!

The power in your car comes from its battery, and as we all know batteries don't last forever and you will eventually need to replace yours.

You can save your self a trip to a battery service centre and tackle this easy DIY job right at home and we are going to show you how to do it in a few easy steps.

You will need:

  • New battery
  • 10mm,12mm, 13mm, 14mm wrenches (depending on year model)

Let's get started!

  1. Using the selection of wrenches, undo and remove the negative battery terminal.
  2. Undo and remove positive battery terminal.
  3. Loosen and back of the retaining nuts on the bracket holding the battery in place.
  4. DON'T remove the nuts all the, rather back them off to the end of the bolt thread.
  5. Unhook the bolts from the battery tray.
  6. Remove battery and install the new one.
  7. Install bolts, tighten down the bracket and replace terminals.

It really is that straight forward. It will take more time to go and buy the new battery!
