6 extras you should retrofit on a used Ferrari 458.

We list 6 items from Novitec that are hot property on a gleaming Ferrari 458 Italia.

Car Ownership

Two words that many believe should not appear in the same sentence: Modify and Ferrari. But for those that have landed a sweet deal on a used Ferrari 458, they may be wanting to make it their own. If you're one such individual, we have just the list for you.

Novitec is a German company that specializes in high-end accessories and parts for exotic cars. Their catalogue covers the like of Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren, Rolls Royce and yes, even Ferrari.

With the 488 on its way out and due for replacement by the F8 Tributo, the preceding 458 is coming up for sale on a more regular basis. If you've managed to secure one, look at how you can personalize it to make it your own.

1. Exhaust

Novitec's Power Optimized Exhaust System is available with or without a regulating flap but we would choose the regulated one so that you can still enjoy your car in quiet comfort. Open the flaps though and let the 4.5-litre V8 scream!

These pipes are available in either stainless steel or Inconel and will help shave some weight off of the car. The SS system is 5kg lighter while you'll save 7kg with the Inconel version.

Available with Novitec- or optional black-exits.

2. Wheels

We've said it before and we will say it again; wheels make or break a car and the largest change you can make is switching out the stock wheels.

While there are several designs to choose from, we've selected the Type NF3 in a mixed 20- and 21-inch arrangement. The fronts come in at 9J wide and will run 275/30R20 Pirelli P-Zero tyres. The rears are a massive 12.5J wide in a 21-inch diameter wrapped in 355/25R21 Pirelli P-Zero tyres.

We've shown the silver version, but you can get them in black and bronze as well.

3. Suspension

Many will argue, "Why mess with perfection?", but the truth is that no one likes a wheel arch gap. This can be rectified with a hydraulic adjustment system with included suspension springs.

The remote control allows for the front of the car to be raised 40mm with this system, allowing you to navigate your way into driveways and over speedbumps. This system has considered the standard damper adjustment system and is equipped with a CAN control unit so that you retain full functionality of the damper control system.

4. Aero - Front Louvres

Dress up the exterior with some tasty, race-inspired and functional carbon fibre louvre vents for the front wheel arches.

5. Aero - Front Bumper Wings

Replacing the original black wings in the front bumper, these carbon fibre items help shed some weight and create a more bespoke look.

6. Aero - Rear Skirt

This beautiful carbon fibre rear skirt fits directly to the rear diffuser and retains all the standard functionality of the rear diffuser. It adds an air of class and race-inspired design.
