5 Isuzu D-MAX accessories you didn’t know you needed.

Enhance the owning experience of your Isuzu D-MAX by outfitting your bakkie with some of these optional extras. 

 

1. Alpine System

The Isuzu D-MAX features a 9-inch Touchscreen Integrated Infotainment System with Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi connectivity, iPod/USB ports, as well as embedded navigation. If you're placing entertainment at the top of your priority list then you can opt for the all-new premium Alpine infotainment system. It first debuted on the Isuzu mu-X sport utility vehicle (SUV). 

The Alpine infotainment system boasts a high-mounted 9-inch screen that is Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) ready, and additionally provides access to built-in navigation, as well as USB, Aux and HDMI video inputs. Passengers will undoubtedly appreciate the new USB ports which have a higher 2.1A rating (up from 1A) to charge smartphones and multimedia devices. It also links Apple CarPlay® and Android™ Auto, once it is made available in South Africa. This allows phone functions and apps to be accessed on the display, or via a paired smartphone’s voice recognition software.

 

2. Towbar package

The Hi-Rider and LE models can be equipped with an optional towbar package rated to tow a braked trailer up to a maximum load of 2.1 tons, while the standard heavy-duty unit on the 3.0-Litre 4X4 LX derivatives comes standard and is capable of hauling 3.5 tons.

It is designed to provide maximum protection for your vehicle’s tub, whilst providing convenient high light jack points, integrated tow hitch and maximising clearance, a Tow Bar is the ultimate in rear protection and styling for your D-MAX.

Depending on where you're purchasing from (OEM vs Aftermarket), they are usually made from thick steel to ensure maximum strength and protection. It is also coupled with stylish side tubing that provides protection for the vulnerable rear sills and sides of the tub as well as re-enforcing the bar.

Built into the bar are rear tow points, two high lift jack points allow for the safe and stable application of high lift jacks on either side of the vehicle as well as provisions for a plug mount. 

 

3. Fender Flares Colour Coded

Fender flares not only give the D-MAX a tough look, but they also improve durability when driving off-road. A set for the front and back flares are available. You can get them colour coded or in matte black.

 

4. Headlight Protectors

Protect your headlamps against stone chips and scratches with a headlight protector. These are made from tough, durable, and clear acrylic. It complements the D-MAX's appearance while offering added protection.

 

5. Bonnet Protector

Protect your bonnet against stone chips and scratches with a bonnet protector. It's been designed to complement the front contours of the D-MAX and is made from tough durable acrylic.
