3 extras to retrofit on a used Mahindra KUV100
Mahindra’s compact SUV, the KUV100, offers those shopping in the budget segment an alternative to the likes of the Renault Kwid, Datsun Go and Suzuki S-Presso. We have found 3 accessories that current owners can fit to their KUV100 models that will enhance their ownership experience.
First introduced to the local market in 2016, the KUV100 represents Mahindra’s entry-level product offering in South Africa. In 2018, the KUV100 was updated and rebadged as the KUV100 NXT. The model range features two engine options, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.2-litre turbodiesel both paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox that sends power to the front wheels.
With a standard 3-year/100 000km vehicle warranty and 5-year/150 000km powertrain warranty, some KUV100 models may no longer be covered, making these upgrades more feasible.
These optional extras are all quality products, however, we must insist that you please consult with a dealership or approved Mahindra fitment centre before going ahead with the installation.
1.Upgraded infotainment system-R3 999
Since the KUV100 comes with a traditional radio, we needed to find a universal infotainment system that would fit into the rectangular slot. We managed to find a 10.1-inch Android touchscreen system from Onlinemotorspares which can be delivered to your door by Takealot. The system features a 9.0-inch colour touchscreen, an Android operating system, the ability to connect to a multi-function steering wheel and of course, Bluetooth functionality.
2.Dash camera- R899
Dash cameras are not exactly new, but if you are looking to reduce your monthly insurance premiums, have audio and video evidence in the event of an accident and promote safer driving patterns then this may just be a worthwhile addition to your KUV100. We found one that is affordable, features a dual recording mode, a parking monitor mode as well as a G-force sensor for sale at Makro.
3.Nudge bar- POA
There are a variety of extras available for the KUV100 from Mahindra South Africa, including scuff plates, window visors, seat covers and floor mats, however, the feature we find most appealing is the nudge bar, which is available in both black mild steel and stainless steel.
