Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 Xi
The entry point for the Corolla Cross model range is the 1.8 in Xi guise. However, although it omits some of the exciting creature comforts that can be expected on the Xs and XR derivatives, it remains a very practical choice and still provides the same performance as the rest of the non-hybrid range.

The XR trim is the highest specified option customers can opt for. Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 Hybrid Xs
The Corolla Cross Hybrid retains the original 1.8-litre engine, however, now sees an electric motor fitted that contributes 53 kW and 163 Nm of torque. But it is not as simple as just adding those numbers to the original outputs, in combination, the combustion and electric motor develop 90 kW and 163 Nm at the peak. The trim remains the same as the non-hybrid Xs variant.

Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 Hybrid XR
The Corolla Cross 1.8 Hybrid XR provides identical performance figures to the Hybrid Xs variant. However, the trim is improved, like with the non-hybrid 1.8 XR derivative. Where the hybrid powertrain really shines is in its frugalness. It returns an impressive manufacturer-claimed average fuel consumption figure of 4.3 L / 100 km.

Verdict
As can be seen in the numbers here, not a single one of the Toyota Corolla Cross derivatives introduced in 2021 indicates any depreciation, quite the contrary as they have essentially gained value over their lifetime. However, this appreciation is mostly due to limited supply caused by varying factors such as the global chip shortage. However, if we reverse engineer the results, we might be able to predict which trim level to depreciate the fastest. And by doing that, we can see that the Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 in XR guise has seen the least appreciation when compared to the others and could be an indication of it depreciating the fastest when the market trend change.
