Which Jaguar F-PACE trim holds its value better?

There are 4 trim levels available for the Jaguar F-PACE namely: Pure, Prestige, R-Sport and Portfolio. We reckon the mid-range trims hold their value best.

Pure

With this upgrade comes power folding mirrors, a rearview camera, larger wheels, and driver's seat position memory.

Prestige

The Prestige offers many helpful features such as keyless entry, leather seats, voice control, and a power adjustable steering wheel.

R-Sport

The R-Sport is your race-ready package! This trim adds sport front seats, 20-inch wheels, R-Sport body styling with unique exterior styling elements, and power-adjustable thigh support for the front seats. It also gets the Adaptive Dynamics package as standard, which features an adaptive suspension and a unique drive mode. This increases traction when you're tackling difficult road conditions.

Portfolio

The highest F-PACE trim level is the Portfolio. With this trim, you get everything of the best in terms of luxury and performance. In the cabin, you’ll enjoy a panoramic glass roof, premium leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a motion-activated liftgate for those hands-full grocery trips. Furthermore, there’s keyless entry, electric seats, and a heated windscreen.

The Portfolio trim also includes the Luxury Interior package, which adds ambient lighting, a cooling glove box, and four-zone automatic climate control that you’ll appreciate on hot summer days.

Which one holds value better?

The best value is attached to the mid-range trims. Naturally, entry-level trims aren’t filled with technology, however, Jaguar has been a bit excessive in this regard.

None of the variants come with heated seats, built-in navigations, satellite radio or parking sensors as standard considering the most basic Jaguar F-Pace you can buy starts from R799,900 and a reversing camera, as part of the Park Pack system, is an R7,900 optional extra on the entry level F-Pace.

We would say take the Prestige model, starting in the region of around R850,000, it has quite a bit of equipment or you could load up an entry-level model with all of the optional extras but then you miss out on much of the interior and exterior trim choices. For one, the base model has only one multi-spoke alloy wheel design that doesn’t really suit the vehicle and could have a minor impact on the resale value. The F-PACE R-SPORT is also likely to hold its value well considering all the sporty bits it gets and starts from R887,400.
