Which Honda Jazz trim is the best buy in terms of depreciation?

There are three specification level choices in Honda Jazz range namely the Trend, Comfort and Elegance along with two engines and two transmissions. We take a look at which is best the model.

 

Depreciation is percentage-based. A car that has a higher value is going to depreciate more in value (in an easier way to understand: the higher the value of the car, the higher the depreciation) meaning a car with more spec will be higher in value, being the Honda Jazz 1.5 Elegance CVT, and will take a bigger knock against depreciation. 

Another determining factor on how much a dealer is willing to offer you for your car, trim level aside, is also heavily influenced by the condition of the car and how it has been maintained over the years. 

Furthermore, depreciation is also affected by other factors like demand, if a car suddenly becomes in higher demand then the depreciation slows down.

If you’re looking for a vehicle that's a little more than a small car but less than a mini-MPV, then the Jazz is your car. It offers generous room, has a great cabin design with practical fold-up rear seats and it has great reliability. Equipment across the trim range is roughly on par with that of rivals, but inside the Jazz, older models especially, it's said to be let down by the use of cheap plastics that can scratch easily. Overall, the popularity of the Jazz is likely to continue despite this, and it holds its value better than several cars in the class.

Cons: Comfort isn’t wonderful

 

Honda Jazz 1.2 Comfort

The Jazz 1.2 Comfort is available with a choice of 5-speed manual or CVT transmission with a paddle-shift gear selector.

Above the entry-level Trend model, the Comfort model feature these as standard:

• 4 speakers for the infotainment opposed to 2 in the Trend
• CVT comes with cruise control
• CVT comes with Hill Start Assist (HSA)
• Comfort models come with a 4 year/60 000km Service Plan
