What is covered under Maxus V80 manufacturer warranty?

We delve into the history of the Maxus V80 here in South Africa to find out about the warranty on offer

Maxed out

The Maxus V80 was a commercial vehicle designed to be used as a delivery van or in the South African taxi industry. Carrying 16 passengers, the Maxus was set to take on the likes of the Sesfikile and Impendulo taxi models. The Maxus was sold through the CMH group from 2015 onwards but seems to all but have dropped of the radar, we can only imagine that it has to do with the not so stellar reputation of Chinese made vehicles in SA and industry pundits sticking with what they know.

In an industry where reliability is highly sought after, the Maxus does not seem to have made much of a dent. When it was sold new in 2015, a 3 year / 100 000km factory warranty was standard issue.

There is very sparse information regarding the continued availability of the Maxus brand or any new models in South Africa for that matter. The original warranty will have long since expired and there is very little information regarding the coverage.

If you find yourself an owner of a Maxus V80 and need parts or servicing it is highly advisable to contact one of the CMH Group offices that carried a Mandarin Motors nameplate, and they may be able to assist.
