What is covered under Ford Focus warranty and service plan?

We've summarised below what parts are covered under a Ford warranty and a service plan.
New Vehicle Warranty
Every new Focus and Focus ST comes with a 4-year/120,000 km Comprehensive Warranty.
The comprehensive warranty covers almost every component, including many high-tech parts, however, there can sometimes be a short list of exclusions. More than 500 components are covered and include these areas:
- Engine
- Transmission
- Steering
- Brakes
- Front and rear suspension
- Electrical
- Air conditioning and heating
- High-tech
- Emissions
- Ford audio
- Safety

Is a car warranty transferable?
Service Plan
Every new Focus comes standard with a 4-year/80,000 km Service Plan.
Every new Focus ST comes standard with a 5-year/90,000 km Service Plan.
These Service Plans cover all scheduled servicing except friction materials such as brake pads and wiper blades.
Corrosion Warranty
Ford gives a 5-year/unlimited km cover for corrosion with its vehicles.
Roadside Assistance
Ford offers a 3-year/unlimited km cover for mechanical, electrical, flat tires, batteries, medical emergencies and towing, if needed, to the nearest Ford dealership.
New Vehicle Extended Warranty
An Extended Warranty on your Focus may be purchased from Ford prior to the expiry of its 4-year/120,000 km New Vehicle Warranty (Comprehensive Warranty). This extends the warranty by an additional 2-year/80,000 km period.
