What is an acceptable call-back time from a dealer?
What is an acceptable call-back time from a dealer?

Customer service is one of those things that is, unfortunately, often forgotten in our consumer culture. Many businesses forget that without the consumer, there is no business to be had.
One of the smallest acts of customer service is that of the call-back or response to a request, and although a very small act, it can have profound consequences for a business.
Once a potential customer has placed a request on a business, it then becomes that business’s responsibility to answer the customer in a reasonable amount of time. How long is that time, you ask?
24 hours.
No business, big or small, should ever take longer than 24 hours to answer a customer. We understand that businesses are busy and that sometimes it takes time to find out the information being requested but even so, simply responding with “We don’t have the info at hand but we will revert shortly”, will appease the customer and they will be happy to hold on.
48 hours pushes the limit of patience and anything beyond that is poor customer service and the customer will move.
As a business you should respond as soon as possible and as a customer you should not settle for poor callback times.
