For this article, we will be focussing primarily on the two GT Line derivatives, each with a different motor.
Powertrains
Although we will be focussing on the GT Line variants, readers should note that the diesel motor in the entry-level Allure derivative offers identical performance and efficiency figure as that in the diesel-powered GT Line model.

Conclusion
In terms of outright performance, the difference between the two offerings is negligible. However, when comparing the two variants base on their individual efficiency, one clearly dominates. In this case, it is the diesel that proves the most efficient as it not only produces the least CO2 emissions, it also consumes less fuel. It achieves both these feats while still producing a similar power output to that of the petrol.
What is more, the Peugeot 5008 2.0HDi GT Line develops 130 Nm of torque more than the petrol offering and manages a higher top speed. This confirms its superior efficiency levels over the Peugeot 5008 1.6T GT Line. The diesel, however, is more expensive selling for R667 900 which is R22 000 more than the petrol model.
