Volvo is on an electrified offensive. In fact, the Scandinavian company aims to put one million electric vehicles on the road by 2025. So far, the marque is well on its way, as in South Africa alone, it outsold all of its premium electric C-segment SUVs in the first half of 2023. One of the offerings that helped achieve this target is the new C40 Recharge.

The C40 Recharge range is offered in a single derivative locally, namely, Twin Motor Ultimate. As the moniker suggests, the model is motivated by two electric motors with a combined output of 300 kW and 660 Nm of torque. It receives its power from a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which, according to the WLTP driving cycle, should provide 451 km of range.
