Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace test drive: make sure to check these features out.
The Tiguan Allspace puts a focus on Connected Community, Semi-Automated Driving and Intuitive Usability. It’s a whole lot more than just an SUV to transport the kids around in. Comfort and convenience are enhanced through some unique features. Read on to find out what these are.
Automated driving functions
Depending on what model/trim you’re test-driving, check to see if that particular one is fitted with partially automated driving functions. The Tiguan Allspace is fitted with partially automated systems that include the Multi Collision Braking System and the optional ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) that is linked to Front Assist with City Emergency Braking abilities.
The innovative Trailer Assist system which was first introduced on the Passat (including Park Assist and rear-view camera) is also available as an option on all Tiguan models.

Head-up Display
Check out the Head-up Display when test-driving the Tiguan Allspace. It projects key information such as vehicle speed or navigation pictograms directly into the driver's primary field of vision allowing the driver to keep their eyes focussed on the road at all times. The data is projected onto an extendable glass panel in front of the windscreen. When not in use, the display retracts into the instrument panel.
Drivers can decide for themselves what information they want to be displayed such as current speed, permitted speed, navigation advice, assistance systems information and/or warning messages. This can be changed via the infotainment system's menu.

Active Info Display
When test-driving the Tiguan Allspace, play around with the fully digital driver’s instrument panel. The instruments are created virtually by software on the large Active Info Display (31.2-centimetre screen). There are five different info profiles of which the type of information and graphics displayed in certain areas changes. The driver chooses either the Classic, Consumption & Range, Efficiency, Power & Driver Assistance or Navigation profile. A good example of the interactive elements of the Active Info Display is shown by the Navigation profile. Here, the speedometer and rev counter are relocated to the sides to make more room for the navigation map in the middle. Information on driving, navigation and assistance functions can be integrated into the graphic areas of the speedometer and tachometer as needed.
Off-road package
Do you want a Tiguan Allspace with an off-road package? Or what is the off-road package you ask? The off-road package is an optional extra that contains an engine underbody guard, a body-coloured off-road front bumper with an increased approach angle of 7 degrees, black sills and bumper bottom section and aluminium door tread plates at the front inscribed with the word 'OFFROAD'. Enhanced for life in the outdoors and made to protect your Tiguan.
