The Renault Sandero returns more than acceptable fuel consumption figures from its 0.9-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

Renault Sandero Fuel Efficiency

The Renault Sandero is an affordable way to get around and having been around since 2009, it makes a great second-hand buy.

Powered by a relatively small, 900cc three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, the Sandero won't win any races, but it will be friendly to your pocket. Running costs are amongst the best and when you combine this with the frugal engine, the Renault Sandero is a smart, economical choice.

These are manufacturer claims for average fuel consumption, which is a mix of urban and highway use. Real world figures will often vary slightly depending on the year, mileage, condition of the car and the driving style of the driver.

Figures are quoted in litres per 100km (l/100km) and were correct at the time of publishing.

Renault Sandero 66kW turbo Expression     5.2l/100km
Renault Sandero 66kW turbo Dynamique  5.2l/100km
Renault Sandero Stepway 66kW turbo Expression 5.4l/100km
Renault Sandero Stepway 66kW turbo Dynamique  5.4l/100km
Renault Sandero Stepway 66kW turbo Plus  5.4l/100km
