The Ford Everest may not be the most popular choice among seven seater SUVs, but should you find yourself in one, there are some aftermarket items which will tailor your Everest to your needs.

Five aftermarket accessories you can fit to your family SUV

You may have gotten your dream seven seater, but you may opt to spend a little bit of extra cash to customize the vehicle to fit your lifestyle. We’ve listed the five most popular aftermarket items that drivers fit to their Ford Everests.

Brush Guard

The brush guard or "Bull Bar" is not that common on the Everest, but they are nonetheless available. Only really useful in rural areas, these guards often have extra lights attached to them for added illumination in off-road situations.

Aftermarket In-Car Entertainment

Depending on which variant of Everest you purchase, it will be fitted with either SYNC 1, SYNC 2 or SYNC 3. If you have SYNC 1 or 2, upgrading the entertainment system is a must, with a plethora of options available, from touchscreen devices with built-in GPS navigation to units fitted with Apple Car Play and Android compatibility.

Side Sills

The Everest has pretty good ground clearance for easy off-road driving, but with that raised ride height, easy access to the cabin may be hampered for those who are short in stature. Fitting a set of side sills/steps makes not only a cosmetic difference, but a practical one as well.

Towbars

The easiest accessory to fit, and the one which will give you the most practical use, is the towbar. There are a host of manufacturers that make year model specific hitches, that will fit seamlessly with the SUV's exterior.

Wheels and Tyres

The quickest and most effective change you can make to your car. A set of good quality alloy wheels and matched tyres can increase the value of your vehicle, and completely change its stance and appearance, and even its driving characteristics.
