Buying a Car

1. When is the best time to buy a new car?

Liza-Marie: “November, towards the end of the year is the best time for someone to come and buy a new car, most of the prices increase at the beginning of the year, you see.”

2. Should a customer haggle the price?

“For the value of the product, no. But the resale value is the thing that customers should look at.”

3. What’s cheaper, diesel or petrol?

“Well, we only sell diesel cars, so I guess I'd have to say diesel Haha!”

4. Is a car cheaper if you pay with cash?

“No, not necessarily, dealers make second growth out of the finance part. It's more viable for a dealer if a customer finances, so we don’t encourage discounts for buying with cash.”

5. Should you buy any optional extras for your new car?

“I wouldn't say there're benefits necessarily, I think you just need to again look at your resale value, are you really going to get extra value for the optional extras? That's what you should think about.”
