Launched in 2015, the Fiat 500X was initially offered in three different trim levels, with two engines on offer and a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes. The range has since been thinned down to just two models, both using the 1.4-litre Multiair turbo engine and a manual gearbox. The 500X is manufactured alongside the Jeep Renegade with which it share a platform as part of the FCA Group.

Larger and more spacious than the Fiat 500, the 500X is a crossover for those who like the styling and design concept of the 500 but require additional space. This makes it great for young families and buyers who need back doors for rear access. Its raised ride height is easier to live with on uneven surfaces and lends itself to being easier to drive, thanks to the raised driving position.

1. Airbags
The Fiat 500X is fitted with a total of six (6) airbags as standard. These comprise of two airbags for the driver and front passenger, side airbags for the same two, and curtain airbags to protect heads in the event of a side collision.
2. Drive Mood Selector
The Drive Mood Selector allows the driver to change the vehicle's behavior depending on the situation. Drivers can choose from Auto, Sport or All Weather in Pop Star models and additionally Traction in Cross and Cross Plus models. These settings alter the engine, brakes, steering and gearbox to provide the best grip in the given situation.
3. Cornering
The fog lamps fitted to the Fiat 500X are self-leveling units that incorporate turning control. Thesee will help you see around a corner when driving, turning to illuminate the area off to the side of the car, ensuring that you can identify any potential hazards.
4. Lane Assist
The Lane Assist name is a little misleading as the Lane Assist system in the Fiat 500X is merely a Lane Departure warning rather than an active steering system that will guide the car. You will still receive an alert if you are straying from your lane, helping you avoid a nasty head-on incident.
5. Blind Spot Assist
The Blind Spot Assist will alert the driver to a vehicle that is positioned in the blind spot of the 500X; the area behind your peripheral vision and wide of your wing mirror. This will help prevent accidents and pulling out into a lane with a vehicle in it, or one that is approaching as a faster speed.
