1. Road test - Nissan Qashqai 1.5 DCI Tekna

With fuel prices being at an all time high, it's time to forget about the Nissan Patrol and buy something that will be much more economical to run. The Nissan Qashqai wowed us with its low diesel consumption! 2. The new Nissan Micra - In the ring and ready for a fight!

3. Cross-country in the Nissan Patrol

If you can afford to pay nearly 1.4 million bucks for a Nissan Patrol, you probably won't have issues keeping that 100 (+40)-litre tank full. Not that the V8 Patrol is that thirsty, even - Chad Lückhoff was quite surprised at its average fuel consumption figure of under 12 litres per 100 km, with cruise control activated and while driving at a decent speed. If you're big on size and big on luxury, the gangsta-looking Patrol is worthy of your attention.

4. Nissan Navara - A big bruiser that's also a bit of a bargain

While Toyota's Hilux and Ford's Ranger are the undisputed leaders in the bakkie sales race every month, the underrated Navara has more tech, spec and comfort features than you'd think.

"It does everything the others can (and sometimes it does those things even better), and it brings its own box of tricks to the party as well. If you're tired of the current two-horse race, this may in fact be exactly the bakkie you need...", writes Martin Pretorius, who had the Navara on a week-long road test.

5. Becoming one with the Nissan 370Z
