Top 5 Nissan Navara Stealth features that set it apart from the rest

In May this year, Nissan launched the Navara Stealth. Based on the Nissan Navara Luxury Edition, or LE, Nissan says that it's built specifically for the South African customer who likes their bakkie to be an extension of their personality. Here's what makes it stand out from the rest.

 

1. Cosmetic enhancements: Black exterior detailing instead of silver

In all the places where the "regular" Navara has standard silver and chrome detailing such as the roll bar, alloy wheels, grille, and side steps, on the Stealth all of these are black. Some electric orange accents along the lower bumper, side mirrors, and on the above-mentioned side steps give it that X-factor, while even the head lamps and fog lights get a black finish. 2. Sassy black/orange interior styling

On the inside, orange top-stitching adds some zest to the upmarket interior. The seats also boast orange material inserts that contrast nicely with the black leather side bolsters. 'Stealth' branded carpets are thrown in too. 

 

3. Nissan's Intelligent Around View Monitor

As seen in the top-tier Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail, Nissan's Around View Monitor also gives the Navara Stealth driver a 360-degree view of the vehicle and everything around it, thanks to four cameras strategically positioned at different points around the bakkie. 4. 5-link coil rear suspension

For that car-like feeling, Nissan's given the Navara (all models)  5-link coil rear spring suspension instead of the typical bakkie rear-leaf suspension set-up. This means that the Navara feels less cumbersome to drive. In other words, less like a bakkie and more like an SUV.

 

5. Nissan's Utili-track system

If you regularly load your bike or any other heavy, irregularly shaped items on the back of your bakkie, the Navara's Utili-track tie-down system is just what you need. It consists of two channels, running the length of the bakkie bed walls. By locking heavy-duty moveable cleats anywhere in special tie-down points, your load can be positioned easily and transported safely.
